Johnnie L. Pennington
SHELBYVILLE, Ind. — Johnnie L. Pennington, 75, of Shelbyville died Wednesday at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis.
Born Nov. 22, 1927, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Chester Pennington and Nillie Cole. He was an employee of Ford Motor Co. for several years and an Army veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Persinger of Fairland, Ind., and Rebecca Moffett of Shelbyville; a son, Steve Pennington of Shelbyville; a stepdaughter, Benita Jessup of Shelbyville; a sister, Virginia Cochran of Jamestown, Ind.; two brothers, Clair Pennington of Liberty and Kirby Pennington of Junction City; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service by the Rev. David Humphrey. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Shelby County, Ind., with military rites.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today.
