Got Ashley to pack all her cheerleading stuff, took care of animals, and drove kids to school. Thought I was going to get off at noon since I worked last Sunday so I had asked Lesa to go on a date lunch but she couldn’t go so a good thing since I would up having to work anyway, turned my overtime into comp time for upcoming holidays. Got put in charge of the map program at work. Sheesh. Got off in time to get Ashley from school, grabbed a soda, and headed to her cheerleader clinic at BNL. She barely said bye to me and she was off, I’m becoming an afterthought. She’s growing up and not sure I’m ready for it. Picked up boys and met Lesa at home, she had groceries so made the boys help her carry them in. They were having pizza. Went to get Ashley, stopped at Taco Bell, they took forever and I was almost 10 minutes late getting her. Ate tacos in the truck and headed into the stadium. Ashley got in free, I had to pay, no biggie. Ashley was very nervous over performing in front of so many people. She did her cheers with the other girls, did absolutely awesome, she’s a natural and she had a fabulous time! I’m so happy we were able to put that kind of smile on her face! We stayed for the entire game, BNL lost 62-21 to the Olympians. We went to Steak ‘n’ Shake for fries and a shake – Cookies ‘n’ Creme for Ashley, chocolate for me. Going home she fell asleep holding my hand, when she woke up she told me she dreamed she was holding her book bag. She could hardly contain herself telling Lesa the highlights of the evening but it was late so off to bed fairly quickly. I had a wonderful Father-Daughter night and I pray she did too.
