Friday, another week gone, this week went quicker than the last. Went to bed even earlier and feel better, guess a good night’s sleep does matter. Ashley climbed into bed with me at 2:30a and it’s a good thing Lesa didn’t wake up. I let her stay a few minutes before whispering she had to leave. She later said she had a bad dream but she didn’t tell me that at the time or I would have tucked her back in. Nothing that pressing with work, mostly did maps, and had a lunchtime meeting with the entire company – about 13 of us made it. Lesa worked and had several meetings and she helped kids with homework of course. Bruce had a video conference with his classmates and he started off shy but wound up grinning ear-to-ear, walked around showing off Switzee and chickens and stuff. He later commented to Lesa he’s really worried about Corbin and Grady and wants to see them because he’s worried they might be sick. I’m going to contact their moms and see if they’d be interested in FaceTime or something. Lesa took the kids to the mailbox again and on the way back they picked dandelions that have flowered and gone to seed and Dwyane and Lesa made wishes before sending them flying. Dwyane insisted on telling her his wish: that no one else in the whole wide world would get sick with the Coronavirus. Lesa told him he has a better heart than her because she just wished that no of us get sick. We’re doing something right and instilling good things in them, they’re all pretty great kids. I think quarantine is starting to weigh on the kids somewhat and I hope we can head off any negative effects that might occur. I took the tiller carburetor apart and cleaned the jets and got it running thanks to the choke cleaner Ken Tussey gave us last night. A stray dog came into the yard, headed toward the baby chickens but our dogs chased it off. We watched Gomer Pyle USMC, among other things, but the kids really got giddy over Gomer’s antics. It was a lot of fun for me to watch them laugh and giggle and having so much fun. Ashley and Dwyane were going to sleep in their fort again tonight, but Ashley said she wouldn’t be able to sleep and would be grouchy all day tomorrow so she decided not to. Dwyane got peeved because he didn’t want to sleep out bu himself and since Ashley wasn’t going to he wasn’t either. I told them if the weather holds I’d set up the big tent and the fire pit and we’d camp out next Friday or Saturday night.
