Did my morning meeting and then headed to the school at 10a with the kids to get their packets for the next three weeks – the last at Springville – lots of teachers posting pics of their old and new classrooms and basically saying their goodbyes. Everyone is hurting over the school closings and the way it all ended abruptly due to COVID-19. Each kid got a yearbook, Ashley’s teacher Mrs Malone gave her an entire stack of the babysitter books and a Battleship board game, she doesn’t have a classroom next year. Mrs Davis, Dillan’s teacher, and Mrs Willis, Bruce’s teacher, are both going to Dollen’s. Mrs Willis gave Bruce two stuffed giraffes from her classroom. Dwyane’s teacher Mrs Anderson is going to Parkview. We’re going to try to go to Eastern Greene. After we left the school we went to Scientia so I could pick up an external drive to load South Korea maps onto. Only Doug was there and I simply picked up the drive laying on my desk and we left but not before Doug jokingly said the kids look better with their masks on then off. Stopped by the bank to get money for daycare and Lesa and headed to pay daycare. Finally got home in time for lunch. The kids played outside all day because there were no lessons to do yet. Started raining in the afternoon so didn’t get a chance to take the tent down. They played inside after that and drove us crazy. Kids watched some television after supper and we eventually shut them down for the night. I’ve been working pretty much all night and getting ready to hit the sack.
