Wanted to sleep in but awoke to Dwyane in our bathroom chatting with Lesa while she was on the toilet, not needing anything, just having a conversation; of course I heard kid voices and my ears perk up because that’s what parent’s do – so I wound up getting up early. I did lounge around until around 10 and then I went out and started making a Lowe’s list to finish off the coop. Kids were out all morning playing on the swing set and making a fort out of the tower. After lunch Ashley and me went to Lowe’s and got lumber, paint, some hinges, hardware cloths, and a couple of miscellaneous items. Then we went to Tractor Supply to pick up pine shavings and feed Lesa ordered. Next, with a full trailer, we stopped at Dollar General. Last stop was Wendy’s drive thru complete with trailer just so we could have a couple of Frosties for the ride home. While at Lowe’s I had lots of trouble loading the lumber, I dropped a sheet of plywood, my hands are just shot and I couldn’t hang on to it; first thing Ashley did when we got home was run and tell Lesa my hands hurt and I was dropping stuff – the girl loves me and is worried about me. I got everything unloaded when we got home, and I did some work, but I didn’t finish the coop. once again I didn’t get any help, the kids were off playing or on their tablets. Lesa messed with the garden, flowers, chickens, laundry, supper, and probably a few other things I’m missing. I took Bruce to Corbin’s for his 8th birthday party, had him there by 5p, went back at 7:30p to get him and they asked if he could spend the night so we said yes, so I came back home minus Bruce, don’t miss him that much but everyone commented about how quiet it was without him yelling and screaming all night long. We watched Indiana Jone’s marathon on TV; well, we watched part of the marathon. Kids went to bed and they fell asleep really quickly – it must have been all the fresh air.
