Slept in late. Louise almost normal, still sore, whimpers sometimes when she gets up, still giving her pain meds, taking her out on a leash, and being careful not to excite her too much. She’s still barking but seems to have mellowed out some. Had a semi-lazy morning but got moving by 10a, loaded all the kids and took them to deliver Ashley’s Girl Scout candy she sold last fall. Went to Linda Wilson’s and not home so left it on the door handle. Then Ella Carter’s and she was home and wished us all a Merry Christmas. On the way I stopped at Dollar General and got each kid a soda, not the most healthiest thing to get them I know. While we were off delivery candy, Lesa went to Walmart to buy some gift cards, specifically for Andrea and Paul came over this afternoon bearing gifts. Got each of the kids a Christmas hat and a big chocolate Santa, and got them 5 or 6 movies and a Twister game. They got Lesa a nice throw blanket and a salt and pepper shaker, and for the entire family a canister of cookies and chocolates. We gave them a gift card. Paul had a cat scan last Wednesday, they’re waiting on a call with results, doctor suspects cancer, he’s been having trouble breathing and has used a portable ventilator multiple times, including 3 times today by the time they visited. Wish them the best and will be praying for them! I played several games of Monopoly with the kids to keep them occupied while Lesa wrapped more gifts. After Paul and Andrea, we played the Twister game, even me, but I wasn’t able to contort and twist my body like the kids could. Still, we all had fun, maybe too much because it got a bit physical and I had to stop the game. After that, I took a nap, the boys played cars, Ashley read, and Lesa cooked. Her and I and Dillan had chili, mine with extra chilis, and the remaining kids had mac and cheese with hotdogs. Kids had ice cream for dessert. We popped in one of the new movies, Jackie Chan’s The Spy Next Door. Kids laughed a lot so we knew they were having fun. The boys went to bed after that and the big kids watched regular TV, Rush Hour 3, another Jackie Chan movie on BET. Finally bedtime for all. Ashley got up because her knee was still bothering her, gave her some Ibuprofen.
