Got up early, let Louise out, and Porter and Switzee too. Since I was up it was kind of pointless to go back to bed so started coffee. Kids got up in short order, Ashley decided to fix Lesa breakfast, not breakfast in bed, but breakfast just because. It was nice of her. Ashley fixed me breakfast too – eggs and buttered toast with grape jelly. We watched Sherwood Oaks and then we watched Troy at Cincinnati Christian. He started with It’s A Wonderful Life with George wishing he was never born, and then asked the hypothetical question what if jesus had never been born? It was a pretty good sermon. After two services it was time for lunch. Was going to check out some books for Ashley because she was so bored but they were closed on Sunday due to reduced COVID hours. Signed her up for a Book Grab Bag where librarians select books based on her interests. Instead I took her to the Little Library at the Springville store, there were books there but the only thing she was interested in was a National Geographic magazine so she brought that home and looked through it, then Dillan got it. Lesa then signed Dillan up for the Book Grab Bag. Andrea called and her and Lesa talked for a long time, I was working and the kids were on their tablets. Gabe called too and at first Dillan went to his house and then they came down to our house and played on the deck. The boys wanted to shoot their BB guns and that was fine, then Ashley wanted to shoot but Bruce threatened to make her the target and cocked his BB gun but didn’t point it. I had a talk with all the boys and made it clear if they threatened anyone or pointed their guns at anyone I would crack it over their asses and then take a hacksaw to them and they know I will. Ashley wasn’t interested with shooting with them anymore so I drew a bullseye target and she was shooting at that, the boys wanted to shoot at it too but they were told to make their own, payback for Ashley. Lesa took the kids to get mail, Bruce was riding his bike like always, went down the hill really fast, tried to stop, lost his bike chain and wiped. Had to drive down and get him and his bike, he had a pretty good goose egg on his abdomen and I was a bit worried about a hernia but pushed a bit and just an abrasion, he’ll be okay with some ice and rest. Lesa made an Indian dish, spicier than usual, broke me out in a sweat and I like spicy, kids to their credit ate their portion. We watched a movie Lesa had me record called The Nativity Story. It was pretty decent and close to the Word for a movie. Bedtime after.
