Lesa went into the office, said the road were okay. The kids had a full day of school too. I dropped them off at the bus stop and was going to work from home so I could pick them back up. Got home, parked the truck, and started working. Heard a scraping noise and then a few seconds later a loud bang. My truck had slide down the drive, off the drive and down the path the kids have been sledding on, it just missed the electrical box and peach tree and slid into a tree at the bottom of the hill, smashed the bumper, rear hatch, and rear window. I was bottomed on a hill of dirt and couldn’t drive out so I had to call a wrecker. He was able to run a cable and got be off the berm and I basically drove myself out at that point. The wrecker had sank and the more we tried to get him unstuck the deeper he went, I even tried pulling him out with my truck. He wound up having to call a wrecker for the wrecker. Got the truck towed to Bedford Body and Paint, got an estimate of $6200 by afternoon! Kids got their midterms, Ashley straight As, Bruce was satisfactory as was Dwyane but Bruce had several comments we need to work on. Dillan had three Ds and three As and the rest were Cs. He really slipped! Like my truck! Lesa had to leave work early to get the kids from the bus stop. I couldn’t go anywhere, I was stuck at home all day – literally. Pizza and a movie night, watched The Fly (the remake) and maybe not such a good choice. Watched Wipeout after until bedtime.
