So, today was work for Lesa and me, and school for the kids. I dropped the kids off at the bus this morning like always, and since Lesa was in the office I picked the kids up as well. Got all four kids today because Dillan and Ashley had a meet against Bedford and Oolitic Middle Schools later in the evening. When Lesa got home we all hopped in my truck and went to the meet. Dillan did really well as did Ashley. Dillan finished 16th overall with a time of 13:19. Ashley finished 8th overall with a time of 18:38 – her personal best. She came close to beating Caroline Roberts and on the way home she said she was going to beat her the next meet. Caroline and Dillan are “dating” and are almost inseparable. Caroline’s mother was Dwyane’s 3rd grade teacher last year and is now Bruce’s 3rd grade teacher. Caroline has been running since 5th grade so this is her third year doing Cross Country. It was late by the time the meet finished so Lesa ordered pizzas from Springville store; she got a thin crust and it was pretty good. Kids did homework, then watched a little TV, and then off to bed.
