Kids rode the bus, Lesa worked from home, I went into the office. Wound up being a pretty nice day weather-wise. Lesa met the kids on the road on their way down – all except Dillan. Coach Webb, Dillan’s basketball coach sent a text last night wanting to practice tonight so Dillan had practice until 5pm. Lesa and the kids went to Ruler’s to get some frozen pizzas because it was pizza and a movie night tonight. I stopped by Bloomington Import Truck to look at a 2008 Toyota Highlander I saw a few weeks ago while getting Lesa’s exhaust fixed at Bell Exhaust. I’ve had it in my mind ever since but was looking for Jeeps. When I didn’t find squat worth buying I decided to check out the Highlander. The tipping point for me was the DAC (Downhill Assist Control). and Snow mode. Lesa can use either. So I bought the thing, well I put money down on it. We’ll drive the Equinox up and possibly trade it in. I was supposed to pick Dillan up at 5pm and it was 4:50pm when I left the lot. Another few minutes to get on the highway, and I ran 90mph down I-69 and was just 5 minutes late! Dillan wasn’t even got out of practice yet and had no idea. We got home and had our pizza. Lesa started breaking out some of the Christmas decorations. The kids watched Minions and Santa Clause 2. Tried to get the kids into bed early but had a hard time. We all have to get up early tomorrow.
