School and work. Ashley forgot her glasses and we rushed back to the house to get them – we still made the bus. Lesa felt like crap and had to leave work early – the COVID shot got the better of her. Ashley and the boys rode the bus home. Dillan stayed after school and practiced with the team until his game started at 6p. Ashley had to be there by 5:45p so the timing was good. So good in fact that it left me time to go to Tieman for some tires but best I could do was order some for later this week. When I got home Lesa was still sick but she still wanted to go see her kids play. She had a crockpot dinner ready and everyone but Dillan ate. Then we all rushed to get ready and to take Ashley to her game. Lesa, the boys, and myself all went to see the big kids’ games. I sweet-talked the cashier into allowing the boys to use Dillan and Ashley’s Sports Passes. The boys lost to Bachelor 41-31. There were two bunus periods in order for the second string boys to get an opportunity on the court and Dillan was able to play a little bit in front of the home crowd, he didn’t get a lot of opportunity but he was a good defender and stuck to his man. I believe the correct phrase I used was “Dillan stuck to that guy like flies on sh*t” – the kids kinda sorta called me out on my language. Shortly after the boys’ game finished the girls’ game started, about a half hour late, but that’s okay. The girls played LCIS. Ashley got to play and she did pretty good – the coach like her level of play and told her she did good. The girls won 34-13. We left right away but it was still late by the time we got home. Lesa rushed to get everyone into bed, including herself. I’m headed there myself really really soon.
