We went to church this morning, both Sunday School and Worship. Then we went to Bloomfield to see Santa on the Square. Since it was way early, and we needed lunch, we ate at the Mexican place, it was tasty of course. We caught a 10¢ per book or DVD sale at the library before Santa and got a Scrabble Dictionary and some DVDs – including Mr and Mrs Smith – one of my favorites. Santa arrived on a fire engine at 2p sharp and we were like the 4th in line so we didn’t have long to wait. The guy was excellent and knew how to handle the kids and his powerful insight of the inner workings of our home convinced the kids immediately they were dealing with the real thing. Stuff like bothering each others stuff, fighting, etc. all rang true to them. Dillan sat outside but Santa had none of it and made him come in too. It was awesome and Lesa and I are glad we went. We went home after that and while everyone else did their thing, which I’m not even sure of, I started working. I replaced both toilet seats to start and then I put the water filters in. The main water shutoff wasn’t really the main water shutoff and I had 25 gpm flooding the laundry room until I was able to get under the house and turn off at the pump. When it was all said and done we had fresh clean water. I felt exhausted and beat up but also proud of the accomplishment. Kids wanted to go to church this evening because they were having a Christmas thing but that never happened. We ultimately just relaxed and got ourselves mentally ready for work and school. Sent the kids to bed, then Lesa went to bed, and me shortly.
