Went to church this AM, Kierington and Easton Wyatt got baptised before service, Ashley helped in Wee Worship, Dillan was still at Gabe’s, Braeden Gilpin preached – it’s his last day, Troy and family home with COVID, and Bruce acted up per usual. We picked Dillan up from Gabe’s after church, saw the old neighborhood, I don’t really miss it even though this place doesn’t feel like home to me yet. Had a lazy afternoon, planned on going to Fairfax Beach to have a picnic supper and watch fireworks but it turns out they’re tomorrow – I doublecheck the beach hours and discovered I had the wrong date – called the Fairfax Marina and triplechecked – kids were kind of disappointed. We all needed the downtime to be honest with you. Lesa took Ashley and Bruce to Dollar General with her and they came back with floats and sunscreen and swimming stuff plus I guess whatever she originally went for. Ashley and the boys watched Trolls after dinner and they were dancing and singing and getting overly excited. I was kind of surprised they got that into it. Dillan worked on his Bronco model, he likes his birthday gift and is putting it together, tonight he assembled the engine and painted it. I worked one of Dwyane’s puzzles and Lesa was upstairs reading. Dillan would show us his progress every step of the way. Boys went to bed after watching Trolls, Dillan continued model building, Ashley and me watched Spontaneous (gross, funny, and sad), and Lesa read the entire time. About midnight I sent Ashley to bed, Lesa is already in bed, guessing Dillan is asleep but I haven’t checked, and I’m heading to bed now too.
