I got up early and left for work – no one was up yet. Lesa took PTO and the kids stayed home with her. I put in 9 hours. Not sure what all Lesa and the kids did but I know they went to the library for awhile. They also got ice cream at Dairy Queen. And Lesa stopped by the Post Office and picked up the refrigerator shelves I ordered. I’m sure there were walks and chores and tablet time and some television and etc. I got home and the only person to greet me was Ashley. Lesa seemed upset for some reason, she said she was tired, I let it go. I played chess with Dwyane, 6 games, he lost all of them, but he is learning, and bound and determined to beat me – reminds me of me when I was his age. I played Dillan a couple of games too and I beat him as well. Lately they’ve been asking to play for some reason, maybe bored? Bruce wants to play but I’m not sure if I can trust him not to cheat. I took Dillan, Ashley, and Dwyane to Cross Country priactice and when we got there we found out it had been canceled due to the extreme heat index – it hit 102°F today! Krysten and Ruby were there as well as Missy and Addie. They didn’t know it was canceled either. I let the kids talk me into taking them to Dollar General and when we got back home Lesa was really pissed because it was so close to bedtime. The boys went to bed around nine, and Dillan and Ashley stayed up until midnight watching the Fantastic Four. Both big kids have texted me asking for more time on their phones.
