We got up early and started loading up. Said our goodbyes and off we went. Ashley still sick. Got a message from EG Day Camp saying they had a few cases of COVID and our kids were exposed. Might explain why Ashley is sick? We drove to Prairie du Chen and had lunch. The restaurant I had picked was crowded so we went elsewhere. The cheese factory was a bust too. But Pike’s Peak was okay. We went to the overlooks and had so pretty good views. The rivers are low. Droughts in the area. Hope that doesn’t affect canoeing tomorrow. We drove The Great River Road scenic route which had spectacular views in places. We finally made it to Dubuque and went to our AirBnB and unpacked and then went to Catfish Charlies and ate dinner. Very expensive dinner but it was good. Came back to the Saint Marys and walked to Ice Cream U Scream and got ice cream. Ate it on our way back and called it a night. Kids watched FailArmy on YouTube on TV and we basically took it easy the rest of the night. Ashley seems to be doing better.
