Slept in a little bit but not too late. Lesa and I decided we would buy one the German Shepard puppies. I called the guy and got voicemail. In the meantime, we went to Bloomfield and picked up a package from the post office. Then we got the call just one female left so we hit the bank and went to check out puppies. We’ll buy. She’s small and a bit shy but she wasn’t that small or that shy – she’ll work just fine. We’re going to call her Victoria/Vicky/Vic because Vicksburg is just a mile away. I left our deposit and we can have her first week of August. The kids start school the first week of August. Anyway, it should be interesting when it comes to potty training and training in general. The kids love her already. We stopped by CVS in Bloomfield on our way back to get Lesa’s meds. There is some sort of street festival going on. Tiny but populated just the way I hate them. We glanced over at the square as we passed by and it didn’t seem that interesting to us. We got home and had leftover pizza from Shot Tower Inn and Mill Street. Lesa fixed it for us. Then Lesa went grocery shopping at Ruler and the kids and me went swimming at Bloomfield Pool. So that makes like 3 times we’ve been to Bloomfield today. I find that sad. Lesa made tacos for supper which were ready just a short time after we got home from the pool. There was a heat warnings for today so the pool was much enjoyed. Lesa made me a big margarita for dinner so I’m sitting at the deck table sipping on a margarita, listening to the birds chirpin’, the bees buzzin’, the hummingbirds hummin’, the cicadas cryin’, and the frogs croakin’ as I’m writing this status update. All the while the girls are upstairs in our bedroom sorting school supplies and the boys are playing with cars in the upstairs hallway. The good life! It’s back to work on Monday so I might as well enjoy what’s left of this weekend. I’m stopping for now and might add more later if something other than watching TV or going to bed in involved. It’s starting to get dark and the sounds are changing too. Different birds, bats, more frogs and insects. I believe I’ll sit here awhile, be still, and listen…
