Didn’t get much sleep! Stayed up late watching the storm and then got up early to take Dillan to the Men’s Bible Study and breakfast. He seems to tolerate it well and I think he kind of enjoys going at least for now. We’re hearing 7 tornadoes in Indiana, at least 33 dead, dozens missing, numerous power outages, etc. We were so blessed! God watched over us and kept us safe. Afterward, came home, grabbed Ashley, and took Dillan and Ashley to school where they worked on building sets, painting, and whatever until 3p. They had a good time, it was something new, they accomplished things, and they were with friends. Good for them! While the big kids were at musical work day, Lesa and I took the boys to what will probably be their last Easter Egg hunt at Eastern Greene Elementary – it was mostly for the candy but Bruce might still believe. Bruce made out with the most candy, Dwyane made out with more items like Silly Putty. Got back home with just the boys and Lesa took Dwyane to Walmart to get the stuff he needed for his play and for his Bradford Woods trip. Then they went grocery shopping. That left Bruce and me. He played on a Chromebook and I catnapped and designed my new firewood rack and a serving table and researched retaining walls. At three I went and got Dillan and Ashley. Because Lesa and Dwyane got home so late I suggested we eat out so we went to Yoho’s and got supper. Gigantic servings and reasonable price and quick service. Of course we had IBCs! Came home and chilled on the television. Boys showered. Bedtime. We have church in the morning and it’s been a long day and everyone was tired. Lesa kept getting woken up by Dillan, Bruce, Ashley, the TV, the dogs, and she came down all exasperated and pissed saying she didn’t know what to do to go to sleep. I sort of had a smartass reply and said how about going to bed and trying to sleep? Coming downstairs and bitching to me isn’t helping you fall asleep. I did turn the TV down, I yelled at the kids to hush, and told her to go and try again. It’s all quiet now so I’m guessing everyone has fallen asleep – now it’s my turn. Not a single April Fools prank this year! I’m surprised – I expected Ashley to try something.
