Lesa stayed home with Bruce today. I took the other three kids to the bus stop and went to work. Bruce missed Good News Club of course. Dwyane rode the bus home since Lesa was here to meet him. Coach Roberts had heard Bruce was sick and called me at work to ask if Bruce would be playing tonight and Lesa said no. It was picture day for Bruce and Dwyane’s team so Bruce was well enough to take pictures and by the time the game started Bruce wanted to play but there was already a sub. Bruce played basketball with other kids and played on the playground instead – couldn’t tell he was sick! We were worried he’d tired himself out and make himself sicker. Talked with Adam and Tya at the ballgame. Ashley babysat and played with Eli. We met the Cullison’s newest foster child, a fifteen year old girl named Mercedes. She goes to WRV and is in the process of being adopted by her aunt that lives in Florida. Anyway, Ashley and Dillan had track practice and I picked them up on my way home. Long day for both Lesa and myself. Bruce goes back to school in the morning and hope he’s feeling better but now Ashley is sick with strep – same red and swollen throat. Hope she’s well enough for school too and wondering when the rest of us are going to get it now.
