Friday! Busy work day, rolled out new site. Bought headlights for truck. Fixed trailer gate, loaded recyclables, need to replace missing plate, will haul in AM. Cleaned house thoroughly. Pizza! Amber visited, stayed 2 hours, discussed kids while they played outside. Back is sore!
Rolling out new site in AM, worked late all week, off normal time today, felt like playing hooky. Still raining, kids stuck inside – bored – letting us know! Dillan’s baseball practice canceled. Playing, homework, TV. Lesa and I filled out invitations for Ashley’s birthday party.
Everyone healthy for once! Ate supper right away, rushed to cut already wet grass before next round of rain started. Literally rained just as I finished! Storm hit hard, with heavy winds, grown ups watched and worried. Power out in 15 minutes, kids scared, broke out the lanterns.
Ashley’s Track ‘n’ Field Day, she did good, not super athletic, didn’t hold back either. Won 1st heat of two-legged sack race, lost 2nd heat. Big Wheel races canceled by rain. She had good time! I worked 8 hours! Lesa picked up kids and was glad when I got home! Read more…
Worked long day, tired from busy weekend. Reserved Springville Park shelter house for Ashley’s BD party. Dillan’s ballgame cancelled 1/2 hour before start. Scouts instead, Ashley too. Earned Tiger Tales belt loop. Got filthy on playground after, needed showers! Homework, bedtime.
Mother’s Day, kids made cards for Lesa, they’re sweet! They truly love her! Ray Hausler preached sermon tailor-made for us, almost balled my eyes out. Dwyane actually had an appetite, seems to be doing better. Lesa went to Walmart, got Dwyane, Bruce new cars. Kids played all day.
Campfire coffee, breakfast, fishing! Broke camp, headed home, Bonehead’s lunch! Shower! Kids and Lesa glad I’m home, me too! Dillan’s first ballgame! He did awesome! Jiffy Treat after game. Naps! Kids rode bikes and played outside except Dwyane: kept him in and let him rest. Bed!
Teacher called, Dwyane’s sick, we knew, Lesa took him to doctor, told her allergies, bull crap, he’s sick! Loaded truck with gear and Dillan, bought bait, headed to Camp Maumee. Set up camp, ate beef stew, best stew ever! Played, hiked, S’mores, campfire, sleeping bags/tent, fun!
On time; Dwyane doing better; kids had Mother’s Day stuff for me to hide. Took Dillan to baseball practice, team River Dogs, he got his navy blue shirt and hat, he strutted and showed his stuff, did pretty well playing. Came home, packed all the camping stuff except for the Read more…
Ran late this AM. Ashley took field trip to Sieboldt Quarry. Dwyane peed his clothes at daycare yesterday and today, wet bed last night; he’s sick with a low-grade fever. Worked extra 2 hours. Took Dillan to Walmart, spent $400 on camping gear for Scout camping trip this weekend.
