Primary elections held in North Lawrence Schools – no school for all kids – even Dwyane. They loved it. Allowed for more leisurely than normal morning routine, good because kids up late last night due to board meeting. Tomorrow will be hard because they’ll want to play some more.
Back to work / school / daycare, no one wanted to go. Tired, didn’t sleep last night. Dillan’s ballgame canceled because of rain; pictures, first game, jamboree on Saturday – we hope! Went to C3 board meeting, took all the kids, what an experience, they were well behaved I guess.
Church; coffee, donuts, wrapped up The Story; Family Sunday, I love our kids! Sunny day, ground still wet; played catch with Dillan, set up batting stand to practice batting, he’s doing pretty good. Grilled salmon, ate on deck, watched a storm roll in, forced inside, nice memory.
Up early for a Saturday, Lesa fixed us a good breakfast. Kids and I went to foster training. Amber visit while there. Ate lunch together. Took them to DQ for ice cream after. Naps; Dillan peed on couch again. Tacos for supper, one of the kids favorite meals. More TV Read more…
Friday! Normal day. I’m tired, kids tired too. Stopped by Dollar General and bought them some M&Ms for a treat – just because. Everyone stuck inside due to rain. Pizza! Tomorrow’s Baseball Jamboree canceled because of rain – looks like a full day of foster training. Easy bedtime!
Work back to normal. Dwyane tired, didn’t want to go to preschool, didn’t like the way I went home, whined and whined. Bruce is a little sh*t for lack of a better word. Dillan seems to be maturing. Ashley somewhere in-between but has times where it seems she’s grown-up. Love Read more…
Lightening hit Herald Times building putting out power, worked from home almost all day. Still storming, raining out. Kids bored, acted up a little, they’re good kids though. Dillan, Ashley had meltdown over dessert, it was hilarious, we just had to tease them, it was mean of us.
Ashley was flower girl for Q & U wedding at school; she wore her flower dress, had basket of flowers. She got a little jealous of her classmates who got “married.” Nice day, everybody played outside. Cut grass, kids ran like crazy chasing mower. Storms tonight. Felt sick all day.
Monday. Scouts. Took Ashley. Tiger Cubs in charge of snacks. Dillan earned Team Tiger, Tigers in the Wild belt loops. He has the six required to graduate to Wolves. Got his Official Scout ID, received 2015 Platinum Journey to Excellence special collector edition patch. Big night!
Church, Jr Church, Dwyane made papier-mâché flowers, looked nice, on table. Played outside! Watched Hook after supper. Mistake! Little kids had trouble getting to bed. Scared to death Cap’t. Hook going to get them. Cried, hid under covers, had hard time convincing them it’s okay.
