Thursday; almost missed buses; first day of school this week! Lesa and I sledded with Dillan, Dwyane and Bruce; neighbors sledded too. Dwyane enjoyed throwing snow balls. Discovered Dillan lied about homework so he could play outside; instead he had lots of makeup homework to do.
Drove 2-hrs to Evansville for Dillan and Ashley psych evals; initiated counselling session instead. Stop! Please, will visits be harmful? Missed concurrent Disposition Hearing. Sandy Bowman petitioned to cease visits, granted. Lowe’s: new sleds! Wendy’s: Frosties! Home: sledding!
Lesa took Dillan, Ashley and Dwyane to daycare. 2-hour delay became no school. Daycare has 24-hour rule so I took Bruce to Bobbi Johnson’s. Whiteout conditions and icy roads but ride home okay. Psych eval paperwork came in mail, I spent the evening filling out forms for tomorrow.
School cancelled, daycare for kids. Bearing noise from front in 4-HI; need truck to last through snow; 3 more inches forecast for tonight! Daycare called, Bruce had 102 temp; Lesa got him; going to Bobbi Johnson’s in AM. Dillan and Dwyane sledded with neighbors; TV for other two.
Snowed about 4 inches; ice underneath; difficult getting into trucks. Church; hardly anyone there; thankful for 4-wheel drive! Kids played in snow; tried sledding but sleds bogged down in fluffy snow. Kids frozen so had some hot chocolate! Watched fitting movie: Ice Age. Fun day!
Woke to Ashley banging bedroom door yelling: Bruce has bag of Oreos! Bought Dwyane and Bruce bike helmets at Bloomington Walmart; ice skating lessons for kids at Frank Southern rink; great time! Our backs hurt from helping toddlers. Fought with Lesa. Rain turning to ice and snow.
Dillan pulled bedroom ceiling light out. PM from teacher praising Dillan. Martina and Adam gone. Discussed therapy logistics with Stephanie. Reserved C3 for Feb foster training. Midterm report cards good, we’re happy! Amber visit 1-1/2 hours. Lesa and I exhausted, kids tired too.
Odd work day! Worked over yesterday in order to take Ashley to doctor for ear infection. Picked her up at school during pep rally, picked her out of crowd in gym. Doctor prescribed Amoxicillin. Treated her to candy bar while waiting at CVS. Picked up boys from daycare afterwards.
Been running just a few minutes later each day this week. Warm-up expected tomorrow. Kids okay, glad to see them when I picked them up. Made doctor’s appointment for Ashley for tomorrow for cough. Wild day at work; Martina and Adam riffed, Friday last day; God watching over kids!
Forgot to call about the pig! Kids rambunctious as all get out. Went to Golden Corral; found out during “How was your day?” discussions Dillan had to move stick twice for talking and interrupting; no dessert for him, he took it well. Ashley worried she can’t stay with us forever.
