Updates

Made it to church; got a sub because I was serving deacon. Went to Bloomington; ate at Arby’s; went to Great Clips; all kids got haircuts; went to Big Lots and filled box with toiletries and food to give to homeless this Thanksgiving. Boys look handsome! Ashley looks very pretty!

Boys made a tent from their bedding and woke everyone up early. Amber visited; stayed 90 minutes playing hide-and-seek with kids. Lesa went to Walmart; Dillan and I watched Purdue football; kids napped. Ashley wanted a tent too so I built her one. She went to sleep in it tonight.

Made it into work; got rundown; slept in truck for couple of hours. Kids had good day but are ready for weekend like the rest of us. Bruce always demanding “PV” so we let them watch some after dinner. Dillan struggling with homework. Everyone excited there’s a mouse in the Read more…

I’m hospital-visit sick; stayed home from work; tried to get some rest; coughing so hard I’m sore. Kids wanting another $10 each to spend at school book fair. Weather nice so they played outside some. Dillan doesn’t like homework first policy. Little kids’ baths and early to bed.

Went to IMA Walk-In Clinic before work; was prescribed cough medicine and Z-pack of antibiotics; I was medicine sick almost all day. Kids still coughing, except Ashley, who seems to be doing better. Kids ate chili – a first. Homework, big kids’ baths, and we called it a day over.

I’m still really sick; all the kids are coughing now too. Dillan had his Scout den meeting; den leader not there again. Dillan struggling with math homework, not understanding concepts; Ashley doing well. Watched some TV; little kids’ baths; pretty much got everyone to bed early.

Kids woke us up early. Everyone’s sick except Lesa. Stayed home from church. Kids played outside for a little while. Fed animals down the street with Lesa. Watched a couple of movies with kids. Need new movies. Had trouble getting kids to settle down for bed. Everyone still sick.

I’m sick; I slept almost all day. I missed Hope Harvest. Lesa cared for the kids and me – poor woman; she’s a candidate for saint. Kids played indoors, and outside with neighbor kids on swing set. I grilled salmon. Everyone went to bed early. Smell of mentholatum fills the Read more…
