Bruce: Daddy, thanks for building the swingset.
Dave: You’re welcome. I’ve noticed you guys don’t play on it much anymore.
Bruce: That’s because of all the bugs.
Dave: The world is full of bugs. There are even bugs in the house. I wouldn’t let bugs stop me from having fun.
Bruce: But these are outside bugs like spiders, grasshoppers, lizards, butterflies, and bees.
Ashley: Butterflies aren’t bad.
Dave: Lizards aren’t bad either, or bees, or grasshoppers.
Bruce: But grasshoppers bite.
Dave: I’ve never heard of a grasshopper biting people and then they bleed.
Ashley: But grasshoppers do bite, especially the big ones.
Bruce: Ya, there was this kid at daycare who got bited on his finger by a big grasshopper and it made the skin go away and then it bleeded.
Dave: Bruce, that sounds like you just made that up. What is that kids name so I can look at his finger?
Bruce: Yeah, you’re right Daddy. I made it up. But grasshoppers do bite.
Dave: They do bite but it doesn’t hurt that bad. Not bad enough to keep me from having fun. Now them lizards, they’re a different story. I’d watch out for them!
Bruce: I don’t like those lizards.
Ashley: Me either.
Dwyane: They grow into alligators!
