My name is David Williams. I’m leaning toward Plan 1 and here’s why.

I have four children at Springville. They’re getting a quality education. They have teachers that know and care about them, and the kids know and care about the teachers too. I’m concerned that will change.

My daughter is a cheerleader. I’m concerned consolidation will hurt her chances of making the squad.

My boys want to play basketball. There are only x number of spots on a team. And who would they play? The same two schools over and over?

I wonder where we will park during those and other special events, and I worry about long bus ride times.

I wonder why older schools that will cost to maintain are staying open while newer schools are getting closed.

I worry what an empty elementary school building will do to my property values and to my community. The store, the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, the Girl Scouts at Fayetteville, other businesses – all will be affected.

I can’t tell from the proposal how much we stand to gain or lose financially.

I feel we should proceed at a slower pace and evaluate all of our options more throughly.

Thank you.
