Everyone got up early this morning. Lesa left to go grocery shopping at 8a in Bedford. I also left at 8a and took all the kids to get another tree Doug cut down. We loaded the trailer, bigger tree this time, tires were squatting on the trailer, took it slow coming home. Dropped Ashley and Dillan off at the second musical work day and came home with just Dwyane and Bruce. They played on the Xbox and I started building my firewood rack. Lesa got home from grocery shopping and the boys helped her carry in groceries and then Lesa, the boys, and myself left to go to Murray Park for the Bedford Parks Department Easter Egg Hunt – the boys cleaned up and they were in the 10 & Up group to boot. Took the boys and Lesa to MaAlister’s Deli for lunch and then home. I finished the firewood rack, the boys helped screw in planking, and Lesa went and got Ashley and Dillan from the school at 3p. Then Dillan and I spent the next hour or so filling the firewood rack with wood. Not enough room – had to stack on top really high. The trailer load I brought home today is even more wood than the last load! The boys are wondering if I’m going to build another rack and that’s a negative. After that I was about done for the day – a bit sore too. Lesa made supper and afterward I insisted we watch The Passion of the Christ because the kids needed to see it – and so did I. The boys went to bed, then Ashley and Dillan and me played a game of Yahtzee but Dillan didn’t play a second because Ashley plays by her rules and basically cheats. So Ashley and me played a second game and then she decided it was bedtime. Dillan came back down and played another game just him and me without Ashley and guess what? He cheated too! But not as much as Ashley. Anyway, I don’t care if anyone cheats or not. I get to spend time with my kids and that’s my reward. Not winning the game and losing is just fine with me because I’m not really losing – I’m racking up points being with my kids! Had Dillan go to bed after that. Lesa made and then hid the Easter baskets and is reading. I’m trying to hurry and finish cause I have to get up early tomorrow so wrapping it up now.
