Kids started school! I drove them to Eastern Greene. Took Dillan and Ashley to the Middle School first and let them know this was their first day and that didn’t have orientation or know what to do yet. Hugged them and off they went for their new big adventure day. Took Dwyane and Bruce over to the Elementary School and we went to the office and I explained the same, the boys had a seat and the office worker told me she’d walk them to their classes when their teachers arrived. Hugged and kissed the boys and tried not to hover. So I came back home and worked, it was quiet and I was actually able to think some. Different not having the kids here and I missed them. I went and picked them up from school, Lesa went too, she wanted to hear their stories about the first day. They were very excited and animated and you could tell they were happy to be in school, Ashley is ecstatic to be back in school, and I think Bruce is nearly so. Dillan started the year off on the wrong foot and didn’t bring his homework home, I let him know I wouldn’t tolerate it and I’d have hime held back if he didn’t put forth the effort to get his work done. They’ve missed a week due to being in quarantine so they’re starting out late to begin with. We had a repeat of last night getting ready for school and all – plus homework, except for Dillan. As for me, I’m still sick, but no relapse yet.
