Bruce woke me up at 7a, told me Ashley had breakfast for me, and then in walked Ashley with two breakfast burritos and Lesa followed with coffee. I don’t normally like eating as soon as I get up but what can you do? So I ate breakfast in bed at 7a. I then downloaded all the videos we use for church and prepped, Lesa printed out the lesson, and we spent the morning doing church with the kids. After lunch Lesa went to pick up her Walmart grocery order, the kids did chores, and then I let them play the Wii since their tablets weren’t charged yet. After Lesa got back I started dinner, Greek potatoes and chicken, a Greek salad, Tzatziki and some pita bread (I didn’t make the pita bread). Took quite a while to get everything made and I’ll need to adjust the cooking temperature the next time – if there’s a next time. While I was making dinner Lesa made the kids go out and play, and when they came back in she made them all take showers so they wouldn’t have too later tonight. Ashley was the only kid to have a Greek salad. All the kids were onboard with the chicken and potatoes except Bruce who doesn’t like potatoes unless you’re talking french fries, tater tots, or hash browns. I thought the rosemary was a bit strong but it grew on me, and Lesa thought it kind of brought all the flavors together. Lesa and I had wine with dinner. The kids watched The Italian Job on TV and Bruce and Dwyane were upset when they couldn’t see the end, Bruce complained it was the most exciting part. I’m going to try to go to work tomorrow so I’m heading to bed early.
