The usual morning routine: Lesa went to work, I took kids to the bus stop, I went to work. Kids are winding down for Christmas break and they’re doing lots of fun school activities – they are not very focused. Ashley and the boys rode the bus home and Dillan stayed after for practice and he also had a game. I barely got home in time to take Ashley to her practice. She had practice from 5-6:30p so Lesa picked her up and she didn’t go to Dillan’s game with me. I followed the bus to Bloomfield and watched the boys loose a 10 point lead at end of 1st period to a 39-34 loss. Dillan didn’t play in the game proper but they had bonus periods and he got to play in one of those. I also saw Cadence and mom, and a couple of people from church, and other people from Eastern Greene – I’m starting to know people and be known as well. I guess that’s good? After the game Dillan rode home with me and I stopped by Dairy Queen in Bloomfield and we ate their grill food and of course a Blizzard for Dillan, I ad a regular old chocolate shake. We ate on the way home because it was really late (after 9p). I drove right past our lane and had to turn around. Not used to things yet coming from the Bloomfield side especially in the dark. The boys were already in bed but not asleep so they came running, and Ashley was awake and jealous, and Lesa and I tried to shut things down pretty quick since it was late. Ashley floated the idea of Tracy staying the night this weekend and I’m supposed to call her grandpa and arrange things.
