Christmas! Ashley woke up at 2a but fell back asleep. Lesa and I got up around 7:30a and let the kids open their gifts from Santa. Their stockings were full of candy and stuff too. The kids had an awesome Christmas! They played all day along, there weren’t too many fights, there was a lot of RC cars going on though, LOL. Ashley helped Bruce put together the LEGOs he got for Christmas. My mom called and wished us all a Merry Christmas, the kids all took turns wishing her the same. Sarah wants to drop off gifts to everyone and is having a hard time accepting that we’re not getting together this year – even though she has COVID herself! She got it from her father-in-law, her and Kaleigh are staying with him as he finishes building their house. It’s really cold outside but the extra light we put in the chicken coop seems to be helping and Lesa and I discussed other ways we could insulate the coop. Lesa kept them in the coop all day, she’s still getting a half dozens eggs plus a day though so they must be okay. Ashley is really tired and not feeling well, at least I hope that’s all it is, she doesn’t have a fever. Lesa is not feeling the best and actually I’m not feeling the best either. My mom called again, she had called down south for well wishes and Merry Christmases and it turns out my cousin Mark has COVID, he is in the hospital ICU on a ventilator, he has water on his lungs and pneumonia now, and is comatose so it’s looking pretty bad for him. He’s 61. His wife isn’t allowed to be with him which sucks. I added him to our prayer chain. The kids watched Toy Soldiers on DVD and then watched regular TV. Ashley wasn’t feeling well and she went to bed well before the boys even, I snuggled with her until she fell asleep. Then Dwyane and Bruce’s bedtime, Bruce threw a fit and got loud. Dillan is still up reading the last I checked. I think Lesa did great and I think Christmas 2020 was a success even though COVID did it’s best to ruin things for us. Our family and our love prevailed!
