We slept in and had breakfast, the kids busied themselves playing with their toys and for the most part they got along with each other. They had a pretty good time it seemed like. Lesa and I relaxed but then I suggested we go on a hike. At first I choose Dilcher-Turner trail and then got worried it might not be a good fit on a winter day so instead we went to Beanblossom Bottoms. There was a boardwalk for the entire 2 point something mile trail like the one we wanted to go on at the Dunes. It was level and the kids liked it and even though we saw zilch by way of wildlife that was purely our fault, kids were loud and ran and kicked holes in the ice and talked loud and at times yelled loud. Anyway, I had a rough time, my legs and lungs held up but my back hurt really bad. Ashley brought a geocache box that we left and had trouble getting registered but I found out later there’s more to do than just hiding a cache so we’ll need to retrieve it and do things right. We also checked out, well drove through, a covered bridge that was restored in 2019, all we did was drive through, it was an actual road with traffic so we didn’t get out and walk it. Got home and Lesa and I were almost wiped but it didn’t seem to phase the kids. Watched TV and had our usual quiet evening, the kids did go to bed easy enough so they were a little tuckered out I guess.
