Slept until 8 or so, kids started to make us breakfast in bed but we got up and requested breakfast at the table instead. That was sweet of them. Easy morning, was going to haul trash but that never happened. Kids did a lot of chores trying to earn tablet and computer time. Ashley and me took cookie money to Amanda and got more cookies. Had an issue with scheduling cookie booths but got that settled as well. It really warmed up so Lesa took the boys and dogs to the mailbox and for a walk through the woods. Lesa told Ashley she couldn’t go because she couldn’t handle it which upset Ashley quite a bit, Ashley complained to me it was Lesa who couldn’t handle her and that’s why she wouldn’t let her go, I’m betting Ashley was right. Anyway, I let her play with my phone which settled her down some. Saw a Facebook post about Riley that was a tearjerker, the kid is still hanging on, rough post to read though. We got on our knees and prayed for Riley and his family. About an hour later we went to Dillan’s basketball game, he made a basket! Doing good! Marcy Cook was suppose to come and watch the game and pick up the cookies we got this morning for her but she never showed, and didn’t respond to any of my texts either, none of us were surprised and Ashley had made a prediction she wouldn’t show way back when we picked up the cookies. Lesa made Sloppy Joes for dinner and it was a hit like always. A Facebook post came through plus a robo call from Mr Hudson stating there would be a prayer rally at the school tonight at 9:00pm in the school gymnasium. I took Dillan and Ashley and we formed a circle with everyone else and we prayed for Riley and the Osmons and for peace and for healing. We signed up for slots to keep prayer continuous around the clock. It was an emotional time, I believe the kids understood the gravity of the situation and also felt the presence of God in that place with us as we prayed, they were very solemn and quiet and I’m pretty sure they will never forget tonight. I saw Christians doing what Christians are supposed to do, and everyone of us there believes in the power of prayer and that God can heal so we petitioned Him to do just that.
