New year’s Day. Kids got up several times due to the shooting going on, finally got them to go to sleep. Everyone slept in except us adults, dogs and animals forced us to get up. The kids were still a bit tired when we did get them up but they quickly became their kid selves again. They pretty much played with their toys all day. We checked the catapults out, the glue was dry, so we (yes, me too) was shooting them for quite awhile. The boys progressed to shooting other things besides the paper cutout targets that came with, they were shooting their Army men and it is what we hoped and expected. We played a board game that progressed into mayhem fairly quickly. Lesa and I didn’t do a whole of stuff, I added a ton of media to this blog. Lesa made a traditional New Year’s Day dinner of sautéed cabbage. Dillan loved it as well as Lesa and myself, Ashley and the boys had mac ‘n’ cheese and hot dogs. My mom called, they took my cousin Mark in Conyers off the ventilator and moved him into “long-term” care, meaning there’s nothing more that can be done and they’re going to let him go. We let the kids watch TV before sending them off to bed. They fell asleep pretty quick, I think they’re probably still tired from last night.
