Up at 6a, ugh! School is back to in person, well sort of, Dillan is still on a virtual schedule for a couple of weeks. Got the kids up and ready and Lesa and I both noticed we had missed calls, Googled the number, it was Eastern Greens’ Alert System so we called and there was a two hour delay. We let the kids watch TV and we got another call and school was closed for the day, roads were too icy. So, another day delay returning to school and another day of virtual school – however, most of our kids’ teachers were prepared for in-person and not virtual so it was an easy day for them. Lesa and I had the day off for Martin Luther King Jr Day and we didn’t expect to have all the kids home – just Dillan and Ashley. I continued my online search for a puppy. I found three puppies from a rescue center in Aurora, IN and I submitted an application for adoption. All of the kids were gun shy when it came to sledding with good reason. We kept Dwyane calm and on the couch and didn’t let him get too active which he totally resisted but we enforced, I think he hated me. Lesa went to Walmart and picked up groceries mid-afternoon, said the roads were okay and she didn’t have any trouble. We let the kids have their tablets and watch a movie after supper. Early to bed for hopefully school tomorrow.
