Got up easy, Lesa made me bacon and eggs, kids wanted bagels and cream cheese. Lesa took a shower. We all packed our respective belongings and then I did the final packing and loading in the van. We triple checked everything and then said goodbye to 115 Saint Mary Street, Dubuque, Iowa and headed to HyVee for gas. From there we were off for home. We stopped in Bloomington/Normal at Subway for lunch again – a different Subway because ofd a different route. The kids like ordering their own sandwiches. We made Indiana around 5p but immediately lost the hour we gained going, and on the way we saw a sign for GSD (German Shepard dog) for sale and called and they need $200 down and $900 total and have 3 females remaining of European Long-Haired German Shepard puppies which will be weaned and ready to be rehomed in 1 week. That was between Jasonville and Linton. We’re considering it. Anyway, I thought there was a KFC in Linton but there is not so we stopped at the Walmart and Lesa and Ashley got fried chicken, potatoe salad and cole slaw for our dinner. We were home 20 minutes later. Switzee and Bloom ate us up alive! Oh my goodness! Ashley cried because Porter wasn’t there to greet us and she was missed very badly by us all. We ate, unloaded, and spent the night relaxing and getting used to being home. We watched some TV. It feels good to be home!
