So today I stayed home, I had 40 hours in yesterday so I opted for the time off work vs. the overtime. Lesa was happy because I was able to wrangle the kids some. I mostly had a lazy day. We did some cursorily house cleaning and ditto for the kids rooms. They hated that! Once their rooms looked decent, I offered to go into Bloomfield and pick up some packages so Lesa wouldn’t have to and I took the kids with me. Lesa asked me to return a movie to the library as well since I was going into Bloomfield. Dillan ran into the post office and got the packages, Ashley and Dwyane returned the movie at the library, and I stopped by Dollar General and got Mtn. Dews. Then I stopped by Dairy Queen and got the kids some ice cream and Lesa a Mocca Latte and we rushed back home before it melted. I played a game of horse and then pig with Bruce before dinner. It’s Friday, pizza and a movie night, but all the kids went upstairs after dinner and we didn’t see them until almost bedtime. They complained when we explained to them we have to get up early for VBS and so no one was going to be staying up late. Big kids begged for more screen time but no.
