Monday, and the weekend is over already. I slept until I woke, no alarms, and was the first one up. Made some coffee and sat on the porch and watched the pond. Saw a wood duck and some ducklings and I watched them until they eventually swam off. Lesa and kids got up, Lesa last, and we had breakfast and we headed to Merrill Memorial and got ahold of the caretaker and he gave us the plot number and showed us the gravesite. So happens the guy also runs Merrill Monuments and so we told him what we wanted and made arrangements to meet him at 3p to settle the details. We saw a couple of swans eating grasses on the side of the road heading into Merrill and we saw them again on the way back. We went back home and the kids wanted to try a morning swim. Way too cold! I got in, I got out. The kids were a bit more determine and decided it was warm enough but after 20 minutes they were frozen, chattering teeth and nearly turning blue – turned the heater on for the ride home. We got changed into warmer clothes and let the kids watch Cody Banks Secret Agent movie on Amazon. Lesa made lunch and we watch the rest of the movie and then headed back into Merrill a little bit early so we could stop and get some ice cream from Dairy Queen. All the kids got blizzards. We ate our ice cream in a park that was across the street and then went and got the tombstone paid for. We saw the swans both coming and going. Back home we went for an afternoon swim and it was just as cold as in the morning. It rained and the kids loved swimming in the rain! It cleared up pretty quickly. We stayed until time for dinner. We saw a turtle in the driveway. I cooked burgers on the grill and then we went swimming again! Spent the night watching TV and trying to get the kids in bed.
