Eastern Greene offering Chromebooks and hotspots for students but they have to be picked up by a parent this morning so I gave all the kids except Dillan the option of riding the bus or riding with me to school this morning – they all opted to ride the bus – so I dropped them at the bus stop and headed to school myself. Dillan stayed home with Lesa today because he is doing hybrid and starts virtual tomorrow so yesterday was his actual last day. I was able to get two Chromebooks and two hotspots and got on a waiting list for more. As I was coming out the kids’ bus was pulling in, a window came down and Ashley’s hands popped out and she waved at me, and I waved back of course. Lesa worked from home and helped Dillan. I went into Bloomington to work at Scientia. Kids cleaned out their lockers, Dillan cleaned his out yesterday, and Lesa picked them up as usual. I worked way over and gathered up the stuff I thought I’d need to work from home and let work know I’d need to be at home more often than not. Lesa is at wits end, I’m frustrated as well. On another frustrating front, Louise is still barking and growling at the kids, she’s a loving dog but just can’t handle the commotion of our kids. Lesa spent the evening trying to prep for virtual learning, making sure we can log into Google and school accounts, making sure of how we’re going to do things, etc. Kids are pretty bummed and upset, they have been through this before and they don’t want to do it again, hard to get them settled down for bed, TV helped some. Trying to figure out the logistics of everything. Going to be a rough Thanksgiving and Christmas season this year!
