Friday, we survived, not with style or fineness but with sheer brute force. Lesa and I both worked from home, and both of us helped with the kids. Another morning up early, except Ashley, who slept through everything – I got to wake her up. One of life’s small pleasures is waking Ashley up with whispers and her response to me. Pretty much a repeat of yesterday with different work and assignments. I had a first today, while Lesa was on a conference call I administered three tests to Bruce. He did great on 2 of them and failed the vocabulary test. Wanted to help him out but kept it honest for his longterm down-the-road benefit. .Bulldozer removed the ruts but the ground dropped a foot from compaction and our driveway is still crap but at least they tried. And at least they’re basically done. Their trailer is still parked in the field so they’ll be back for that. It’s pizza and a movie night, we watched The Brady Bunch Season 1 DVD I know, of all things. However, the kids loved it and related to the show and there was so much laughter and it was simply fun to watch them. Had popcorn and root beer. Watched James Bond after the boys went to bed but big kids didn’t to get to see the end. Worked late night again, much needed, because I barely worked today.
