Thanksgiving Day. I realized today that deer season started almost two weeks ago and is almost over! How the hell does that happen? I can’t figure it, am I that busy at work, or am I that tired, or am I that old, or what? Anyway, I went out this morning and no luck of course, didn’t even see a deer, just squirrels. Set up tree stand in the early afternoon but didn’t go out again because of Thanksgiving dinner. Kids watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade which seemed kind of weird this year. Then they played outside and they helped me set up the stand. They got some tablet time after doing some chores which mostly consisted of cleaning the house – like pick up living ad dining room floor, empty wastebaskets, etc. Lesa cooked most of the day, the house smelled wonderful all day. She cooked an entire dinner just like she normally would. It was weird. We have been hosting for more than 30 years and the house is always packed with 15 plus people. We had everything but have lots of leftovers even though she got a smaller turkey this year. Louise is older than when thought because she’s in heat, dripping blood everywhere, gross. We watched a college football game and settled on an Alfred Hitchcock marathon on Turner Classic Network, it was Rear Window, and it had the kids hooked. Then was The Wizard of Oz. We played Monopoly and Sorry board games before getting ready for bed. Got the kids in and they were out pretty quick. Did some map stuff and I’m going to watch Birds and then head to bed myself.
