Williams Thanksgiving today. Nasty rainy day all day. Lesa had a lot of cooking going on so I took the kids to Starbucks to get hot chocolate and mostly to get then out of her hair. Then we went to Walmart and got a couple of items Lesa needed like dinner rolls and celery. Skipped the donuts even though it was tempting. First to show was Sarah and Kaleigh followed by Becky and kids. Ryan had to work which is kind of okay. Things got pretty loud after that. Then my mom and dad and brother showed up. Had our normal fifteen or so people this year. My parents dropped hits they’re getting old and maybe we’ll have to do something different next year. Helped Lesa cook and prep some but mostly a one-woman show. It turned out great, everyone had more than their fill of really, really good food. Almost everyone brought a desert plus the persimmon pudding and cookies Ashley and me made, and of course Lesa made her peanut butter pies – everyone’s favorite. By six we were on our own again doing clean-up duty, except the kids, who watched a little TV and took baths or showers. They got sent to bed a little early because they looked like death warmed over.
