Kids rambunctious, they needed exercise, walked on Milwaukee Trail to Wilson Park. Jiffy Treat. Dillan helped put up tent. Ashley cared for rabbits. Bruce helped put up chickens. Lesa fixed Indian dish with rice, curry, spices; Ashley/Dillan liked, proud they tried something new.
AM Nerf war. Skipped church. Gabe went home came back with Gracie, kids had fun together, sent home after lunch. Gave Ashley week to care for rabbits or gone. PM Dillan, Ashley at Gabe’s house. Tent, fire, sprinkling, cards in tent. Within ½ hr Dwyane in, then Bruce, Ashley last.
Dillan guitar lesson, not sure if learning, enjoys going, doesn’t practice. Lesa hair cut. Walmart, Ashley tennis shoes. I set up tent, Gabe spending night, fire, S’mores, etc. Dark, came in scared. TV: motocross, Batman movie, Lesa fixed popcorn. In room playing on Gabe’s phone.
Labor Day weekend. Missed bus. Off early. Truck trans trouble. Kids acted like they didn’t care I was there, I acted like I was leaving. Lesa groceries. I mowed. Dillan dirt bike, got hung on log, Ashley tried helping, burned her thigh. Pizza, Open Season 3. Ashley prayed for me.
Barely made bus, Kim waited. I researched, Lesa has work issues too. Mrs Davis texted, Dillan in trouble, punched William in eye. Ashley’s Scout leaders sick, no meeting. My nose running, I’m getting sick. Ashley’s new mattress on bed, she likes. American Ninja Warrior until bed.
Ready on time, made bus easily. Scientia all day. Got boys, ready for home, Ashley had cheer practice, Lesa picked her up. Dillan brought agenda home last two nights. Ashley running for Student Council. Dwyane lost second tooth in as many days. I wrestled with Bruce. Stayed home.
Kids still tired after getting up, missed bus, took them to school. Split day between Bedford/Bloomington. Had to prompt Ashley to care for rabbits; talked back a lot. Dillan meltdown over homework; acted like he wanted to do Scouts, didn’t. Boys took showers, an issue for Bruce.
Rained all night, made bus. Half day Bloomington, half SAIC. NAPA for ECT. Kids stuck inside, boys okay, Ashley mess, meltdowns and drama! Boys didn’t go to Scouts, opted for TV instead, fallout from no screen time. Dwyane forgot backpack at daycare, Dillan purposely left agenda.
Slept in, skipped church, everyone needed extra rest. Got opossum in live trap. Mike Pearson’s to discuss house, kids down to Ken and Cassie’s place. Put together Ashley’s pet play area, put bunnies in with her. Dillan went to Gabe’s. Ashley and Dillan gave us massages. Nice day.
Woke to kids fighting with each other. Grounded them from all screens – even microwave clock! Sounded like we damned them to hell. Rural King for Ashley’s pet play area, bought Logan Rogers birthday present. Urban Air BD party, pizza, kids had great time, will sleep good tonight!
